Message-enable Desktop and Other Applications for TIBCO

OpenSpan and TIBCO have a technology and business partnership that extends TIBCO's event-driven architecture to desktop environments. Customers of TIBCO Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Optimization solutions can now more rapidly integrate with desktop applications without requiring changes to those applications.

When moving to an Event Driven Architecture (EDA), OpenSpan can capture events and deliver them to TIBCO, providing an Event Driven Desktop for a much richer stream of information upon which decisions or strategies can be made.

Typical solutions and benefits of the joint Event Driven Enterprise and Event Driven Desktop:

• Message-enable any desktop and other legacy applications, even those with no APIs, for full integration with the Service Bus and each other without code changes or back-end solutions.
• Service-enable and extend, with no modification, the same set of legacy applications to fully participate in SOA.
• Extend BPM to the desktop - enable enterprise business processes (workflows) to call a Web service hosted on business users' desktops, and enable virtually any application to participate in BPM solutions.
• Extend BI and BAM to the desktop by passing user desktop events to solutions such as TIBCO's BusinessEvents™ to trigger events processed within TIBCO BusinessEvents or other business intelligence solutions.
