As virtualized environments become more prevalent; enterprises are starting to grapple with the challenges of integrating data between virtualized applications or between a virtualized application and any legacy application hosted outside of a virtualized environment. There are two primary manners in which OpenSpan integrates virtualized applications:

• Citrix streamed applications – The OpenSpan Platform natively supports applications streamed from the Citrix Presentation Server, enabling you to integrate Citrix applications with virtually any legacy and desktop applications, regardless of their location
• Other virtualized applications including VM Ware – The OpenSpan Platform SOA Desktop Edition provides the ability to expose functionality from virtually any application type (Windows, host, web, Java, DOS, etc…) as a web service callable by any other application whether that application resides on a back-end server or on a users’ desktop.
