| | Eric Musser CEO | | A highly visible and well respected enterprise software executive, Eric Musser joined OpenSpan as CEO in August 2008. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Eric served as President and CEO of CDC Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation (Nasdaq: CHINA; $402.4 million in annualized 2007 revenues). Among the awards he received during his 15 years at CDC Software was being named one of the Top 20 Enterprise Software Leaders of 2007 by a leading ERP journal. Eric has built a successful track record of working closely with customers, partners, analysts, and industry associations to deliver leading, industry-specific enterprise solutions and services that enable competitive advantage for customers and create value for the company’s stakeholders.Under his leadership at CDC Software, the Customer-Driven Company (CDC) consistently reported record revenue primarily because of aggressive organic growth through sales to new customers and expansion through well-targeted acquisitions. Prior to his role as CEO at CDC, Mr. Musser served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Chief Technology Officer for CDC Software, where he spearheaded the company’s innovative product architecture, new vertical market product strategy, support of advanced technology platforms and development of the company’s acquisition strategies. In addition to that role, he also successfully expanded CDC Software’s Asia Pacific operations through closely working with business partners and customers there, as well as establishing its first major development center in China. As President of Industri-Matematik (IMI), Eric returned the business to profitability after multiple years of losses and set the foundation for future expansion. At Ross Systems, Mr. Musser held senior management positions in services, marketing and development, including Chief Technology Officer.
| Francis Carden Founder & Chief Evangelist | | With more than 20 years of experience in running multinational technology companies, Francis has a track record of delivering successful technology solutions to thousands of clients in more than 30 countries. As founder and CEO of Pixel Innovations Ltd, Francis specialized in software integration services, partnering with organizations like IBM, Sun and Microsoft to offer his customers industry-leading solutions. Since the sale of his company to a large healthcare software integration company in 2001, Francis has been an active investor in technology companies in the United States. In 2005, Francis was lured back to the front lines by the opportunity to join the executive leadership team at OpenSpan.
| Stephen Beckett CTO and Founder | | Stephen has been a leading software innovator in the contact center market since 1993. He was a founder of Witness Systems, where he invented the industry’s first Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) enabled voice and screen recording system. While at Cliffstone Corporation, he built the contact center’s first Composite Application development suite, which has since become the real-time business intelligence solution for contact center operations such as DIRECTV and American Express. Stephen received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
| Damon Lockwood Founder, VP Development | | As an experienced software architect providing solutions for a variety of platforms, Damon has worked closely with Accenture and Microsoft, leading implementations of their Contact Center Framework for clients such as Bellsouth and Bank of America. Damon pioneered the composite application and Surface Integration™ approaches and techniques first used within the Contact Center Framework, which are now incorporated in the OpenSpan Composite Application Suite.
| Brad Murdoch EVP Products and Strategy | | Brad Murdoch leads product management, business development and sales engineering for OpenSpan. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Brad led the services business for JBoss, a leading open source software provider that was acquired by Red Hat in June 2006. There his focus was ensuring that JBoss delivered the Middleware industry’s highest rated technical support, training, and consulting on a worldwide basis. Prior to JBoss, Brad held several positions with Wind River Systems, a market leader in embedded software solutions. During the majority of his tenure at Wind River Systems, Brad acted as Vice President and General Manager of the Wind River Services Business, with responsibility for a 200 person staff that drove between $30 and $40 million in revenue yearly. Prior to joining Wind River, Brad also held a General Manager position within Unisys’ Global Customer Services organizations in New Zealand and Australia as well as several engineering and sales positions with Hewlett Packard and Clarity Software. He holds an Honours Degree in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
| Tom Leonard EVP Worldwide Sales | | A twenty year veteran of the enterprise software and related high-tech industries, Tom Leonard joined OpenSpan as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Tom led Worldwide Channels for JBoss, the leading open source Middleware software vendor, which was acquired by Red Hat in June 2006. While at JBoss, Tom formalized strategic relationships with HP, Unisys, Novell, Computer Associates, McKesson, Dell, NCR/Teradata, NRI, and many other leading technology companies. Tom also served as Vice President of Business Development for JBoss where he formalized JBoss’ National Accounts Program and helped JBoss become an enterprise standard for leading F100 companies. Prior to JBoss, Tom held positions as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations at iPhrase Technologies based in Cambridge, MA and Senior Vice President of OEM/ISV Sales at Bluestone Software, which was acquired by HP in 2001.
| Tim Bertrand VP Channels
| | A ten-year veteran of the Enterprise Software business, Tim Bertrand leads OpenSpan’s channels organization including managing the company's ISV/OEM, Reseller and System Integration relationships. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Tim served in various enterprise sales capacities at Systinet Corporation, which was acquired by Mercury Interactive in January of 2006. While at Systinet, Tim was responsible for closing all of the company's early Enterprise deals and ISV/OEM deals as well as for building and managing the company’s Government practice, which generated over 60% of the company’s revenue. Prior to joining Systinet, Tim ran Business Development for Cape Clear Software and held the position of Enterprise Account Manager for SilverStream Software, which was acquired by Novell in 2002. Tim holds a degree with honors from Bryant University.
| Steve Raby VP EMEA Sales
| | Steve Raby leads all sales-related activities for OpenSpan in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Steve was sales director for Northern Europe at Nuxeo, where he successfully drove sales for the company’s electronic content management applications outside of France. Steve also led enterprise and business development activities in EMEA for JBoss (acquired by Red Hat in 2006), where he successfully moved the company into the enterprise software market and built out its application service provider program. Prior to JBoss, Raby held several positions at Sun Microsystems, including director of partner sales for the UK and Ireland, director of enterprise development sales, workstation business manager and district sales manager.
| Joe McGonnell VP Marketing | | Joe McGonnell leads worldwide marketing activities for OpenSpan. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Joe spent three years leading marketing for JBoss, a highly successful open source software company eventually acquired by Red Hat in June 2006. Joe was the first marketing hire at JBoss and helped to build a highly successful model and marketing organization that drove awareness for JBoss products and services and helped to position JBoss as a leader in the open source software movement. Prior to joining JBoss, Joe spent more than ten years in various product management and product marketing roles for Hewlett Packard, Bluestone Software, and Checkpoint Systems.
| Henry (Fritz) Yoder VP Support | | As Openspan’s Vice President of Support, Fritz Yoder oversees the company’s customer service program, as well as internal operations. He also serves as the primary interface between customers and the Openspan development team during system installation and standard follow-up service. Fritz has over 19 years experience in the management, configuration and support of call centers. Prior to joining Openspan, Fritz served as vice-president of operations for Cliffstone, Inc., a developer and provider of computer systems for call centers. In that capacity he developed and managed the support infrastructure during the company’s period of dynamic growth. Fritz is experienced in defining user requirements, and establishing distribution and support organizations. Throughout his career, he has provided product feature guidance from both the end user and maintenance personnel perspectives. | | | | | | |
