OPENSPAN CONSULTANT

OpenSpan has an incredibly unique full-time opportunity for the right person to join a highly-motivated team. We are developing cutting-edge software and offer an excellent environment to learn and grow.  Due to our exceptional growth and customer demand, we have an immediate opportunity for an OpenSpan Consultant.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform on-site detailed discovery of client’s applications utilizing the OpenSpan Platform
  • Gather and prioritize client requirements, make assessments (effort and feasibility) and clearly define project scope (relative to predetermined completion date)
  • Conduct on-site Proof of Concept visits to demonstrate OpenSpan Platform’s integration capabilities with the client’s targeted applications
  • Develop fully-deployable Pilot integrations
  • Manage project issues, priorities, escalation of issues, and resolution.
  • 85 to 100% Travel
  • Exceptional communication skills

Oral & Written Communication Skills

  • Provide written developers guide and style guide if required by client    
  • When onsite, provide status reports highlighting progress and issues to ensure senior management stays current on the status of each client’s project
  • Communicate customer requirements, issues, and possible resolutions to senior management

Technical Skillset:

Experience developing a software product is a must. A true tenacious desire to learn with career discipline and methodical style are the key ingredients.

Skills:

  • .NET development experience
  • Java, JVM, JNI and COM experience a plus
  • Familiarity with .NET design and component architecture
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced interactive development environment
  • Self taught, highly intelligent and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Basic working knowledge of SQL is required. Specific familiarity with MSSQL and Oracle RDBMSs is desirable, including stored procedure syntax in both environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting, reasoning, design, and risk assessment skills

Education/Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience.
