OpenSpan Announces Partnership with IQT

ATLANTA - August 29, 2011  - OpenSpan, Inc., provider of user process improvement software, today announced a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel (IQT), the independent, strategic investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community. This partnership will advance OpenSpan's ability to deliver desktop integration for applications running on Windows desktops.

By simplifying user interfaces and automating manual processes performed on the desktop, OpenSpan significantly improves user productivity and effectiveness. OpenSpan integrates virtually any application, including mainframe green screen, Windows client-server, Java, or Web-based application, to turn processes that were multiple steps into 'one and done' tasks.

"OpenSpan's solution quickly improves efficiency and productivity by automating manual tasks and eliminating repetitive actions such as cutting and pasting of data between multiple applications," said William Strecker, Executive Vice President and CTO at IQT. "Our strategic investment will help accelerate the availability of OpenSpan's technology for our Intelligence Community customers."

"We are delighted to work with IQT," said Eric Musser, CEO of OpenSpan. "Our partnership has allowed us to expand our portfolio of supported applications and increases the market awareness for our products."

Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
