OpenSpan Maintenance Services

OpenSpan provides maintenance services in order to provide world class support and ensure our clients have access to all the latest software releases, add-ons, defect fixes and patches in a timely manner.

There are three main elements to OpenSpan Maintenance:

  • Customer Support - OpenSpan Support ensures that our clients can get the help that they need in order to make their OpenSpan deployment successful. Our Support Engineers have deep expertise in OpenSpan technology and also have an in-depth understanding of the types of complex environments in which it is deployed. Our Support team is fully backed by the entire OpenSpan core development team, meaning that our clients get the best possible answers to questions and the appropriate degree of technical knowledge applied to any problems. Customer support includes 24x7 support for severity 1 production support issues and standard phone, e-mail and online support for non-severity 1 and development support issues.
  • Upgrades - OpenSpan strives to build software that provides the greatest possible business value to our clients. Major software releases often introduce significant new functionality and OpenSpan Maintenance clients will be automatically notified of the availability of the upgrades to which they are entitled.0
  • Updates - OpenSpan provides regular updates to our software, including some of the latest add-ons, defect fixes and patches. OpenSpan Maintenance clients will be automatically notified of the availability of the updates to which they are entitled.

OpenSpan Consulting

OpenSpan offers fixed-term consulting engagements delivered by OpenSpan Certified professionals. Consulting services include Proof of Concept, Pilot Assistance, and Rapid Implementation assistance.

OpenSpan Training

OpenSpan offers several training courses.

OpenSpan Basic Training (required) includes an introduction to the Windows Adapter and Web Adapter, an overview of project deployment, and basic diagnostics and debugging.

OpenSpan Advanced Training Modules (optional) are available on several topics, including:

  • OpenSpan Events
  • OpenSpan Virtual Broker
  • Other Topics, including Web Services, Database Connectors, Enterprise Messaging, Citrix, and Specialized Adapters (including Siebel, SAP, BMC Remedy Service Desk, Oracle Forms, and PowerBuilder).

Customized Training

OpenSpan can also work with you to create custom training courses that are specific to your application environment. An implementation specialist will work with you to cover in-depth specific solution building topics. Custom courses are generally intended for OpenSpan Studio designers who are responsible for maintaining and updating enterprise solutions for their company.
